Good uses for QR codes

Business cards

Link visitors to your own portfolio or contact page without making the card crowded.

Event materials

Send people to a schedule, registration information or directions you control.

Menus and posters

Offer a quick path to additional information; also provide a readable short link when possible.

Design tips for reliable scanning

Preserve the white border (quiet zone) around the code. Avoid stretching it, covering its corners with artwork, or printing it too small. Use sufficient contrast between dark modules and a light background. Scan a test print from the real distance users will stand.

Static QR codes and limitations

A QR code generated from a fixed URL contains that address. ToolsNest does not provide a redirect dashboard or track scans. If the target web address later changes, the printed QR code will continue pointing to the old address. Do not place sensitive information in a QR code intended for public sharing.

Common questions

Does the QR code expire?

A QR image itself does not expire; however, the linked website may change or go offline.

Can I see how many people scan it?

No. ToolsNest generates static QR codes and does not operate analytics or redirect tracking for them.

What if my QR code fails to scan?

Try a larger print size, more contrast, a clean quiet zone and a shorter URL.
